Coalescence Hosts the Mandela Washington Fellowship (MWF)
MWF is the flagship program of the Young African Leaders Initiative. Through this initiative, young African leaders are gaining the skills and connections they need to accelerate their career and contribute more robustly to strengthening democratic institutions, spurring economic growth, and enhancing peace and security in Africa. The program is a collaboration between The Ohio State University’s John Glenn College of Public Affairs and the Center for African Studies.
Coalescence has worked with both the John Glenn College and the Center for African Studies in the past and was eager to demonstrate the principles of business and food safety practices to the cadre of future African leaders; and how they are tied to many regulatory and policy initiatives throughout Ohio and the nation.
Coalescence Hosts Future Farmers of America
Coalescence participated in multiple tours for the Future Farm of America organization in 2016. The FFA provides training and exposure for technical careers opportunities for young farmers in central Ohio. Coalescence was proud to show these hard working students how Coalescence operates, and to discuss career opportunities in the food industry. The students particularly enjoyed visiting our Research and Development Lab, where an in depth discussion of how food science is conducted.
