Letter from the CEO

It seems like the older I get, the faster time seems to fly by.  It is hard to believe that preparations are well under way for yet another hectic holiday season.  One of my goals for 2015 was to strive to achieve that delicate balance between professional and personal pursuits, with the desire to provide stronger leadership and direction to Coalescence.  In my quiet time of reflection, I am reminded to take a moment to think about all of the changes which have occurred during this banner 10 year anniversary of our founding, and to express my gratitude to all of the Coalescence associates and loyal customers who have helped us in furthering our mission to be the premier solutions provider to the Food, Beverage, and Health Care Industries.

Each time I enter the doors of Coalescence I am inspired by and grateful to all of the wonderful men and women who work tirelessly every day to develop, manufacture and deliver quality, food safe products to our customers around the world.  However, they don’t just stop there; members of our Coalescence family are always quick to support our corporate stewardship initiatives to make a positive impact on our community.  During this past year Coalescence associates volunteered approximately 300+ hours helping to assemble over 300,000 meal kits for Stop Hunger Now™, participating in the first annual George Washington Carver Food Research Institute Ag Career Day hosted at Bob Evans Farms, providing technical tours and mentoring students.  Coalescence also became a Work Study Partner to Cristo Rey Columbus High School and Metro Early College High School, presenting internship opportunities for 7 deserving students interested in exploring fields in the Food Industry.  In addition, our staff donated 100 pairs of shoes to the Souls to Shoes Shoe Drive.  These shoes were redistributed to micro-enterprises in developing countries such as Haiti, Honduras and others in Central America and Africa, to aid impoverished families and communities.

In the true spirit of thankfulness, I would be remiss if I did not express my appreciation to all of our legacy partners and new clients we have welcomed this year.  It is truly an honor to be an integral partner of your supply chain.  We understand the faith each company places in Coalescence to anticipate your respective needs, and to deliver on our promise of exemplary customer service. We are working diligently to expand our R&D team in an effort to focus on innovation.  We would like to thank all of our customers who have provided really positive feedback on EggCeed, our new 100 percent egg replacement system designed specifically for vegetarian meat analogs and bakery applications.  In addition, Coalescence is also investing in new packaging platforms to give our partners greater flexibility to deliver greater value to consumers.

Stay tuned to learn more about the many exciting changes coming in 2016.  In the meantime, I wish you a safe and joyous holiday season on behalf of the entire Coalescence family.
